The Roux Bake Off ChallengeJoin Executive Chef Didier Quemener at the Michel Roux Jr Cookery School on Friday 12th May 2017 for the Roux Bake Off Challenge. Fast paced and fun, sweet-toothed fans of pastry and dessert with a taste for competition and creativity will love this sugar-coated Bake Off. Using recipes from the Roux family archive and classic patisserie techniques, test your baking skills and your nerve. After being welcomed with tea, coffee and pastries, ten teams will work in pairs to make Michel Roux Jr’s original sweet brioche pizza with a bitter chocolate sauce, and an array of sweet pastry tartlets with a selection of toppings and fillings. Pause for a light lunch accompanied by a glass or two of wine before putting the finishing touches to your handiwork and completing the day’s challenge. Then, it’s the moment you have been waiting for. Time to break open the bubbly to toast your achievements, sample your delectable creations and discover who has been crowned Roux Bake-Off Champion! Each team will receive a copy of Michel Roux’s Pastry: Savoury & Sweet as a memento.
For teams of two; valid on Friday 12 May 2017 only. Minimum age is 16. 16 and 17 year old's must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).
